I was asked some really thoughtful and insightful questions about my practice and we had some great discussions.

Insider Art
For the second year running, Gallery North was host to to the Insider Art exhibition, an exhibition of art work from prisoners, which was part of the annual conference of the British Society of Criminology. As part of my internship at the gallery, I assisted with the curating and hanging process of the exhibition, details of which can be found here
I also took the official photographs of the finished exhibition and the accompanying symposium.
One of my photographs was used in a report created by Arts Alliance called ‘Re-imagining futures: Exploring arts interventions and the process of desistance’.

Gallery North Internship
In the first few weeks of being an intern at Gallery North, I had the opportunity to take the official photographs for the Northumbria University MA Fine Art and MA Fine Art & Education 2012 Degree Show; this took place at BALTIC 39.
I was also given the opportunity to take a photograph that could feature on the leaflet that would advertise Northumbria University’s new Master of Fine Art (MFA) course. I experimented with a lot of the works, however I was particularly drawn to the artist Rachel McDermott’s wonderful installation and I spent a large amount of time on the floor photographing the work from different angles!
