Even Stone is Temporary
ADAO Open Day 9.0
01.12.2018
This work is an investigation into visual order and form; a pictorial language is drawn out from traces of an industrial past. This site-specific drawing was developed in response to technical diagrams found in the archive at the Museu Industrial da Baía do Tejo. Through an instinctive process of repetition and re-assembly, the shapes and forms become detached from the original source and a new depth of meaning is presented. To reflect the temporality of industry, I created this work using the medium of chalk. As time passes, the artwork will gradually fade away.
