Statement
The marks we make on this earth may outlive us – they have the potential to endure long after our physical bodies.
The main focus of my work is to explore remnants of human activity, man made structures and the passing of time. I will often use conversation, exploration and the archive as my starting point, responding instinctively through photography, painting and drawing. Through repetition, re-communicating and re-working my findings, the resulting works become further detached from the original artefact and provide a new depth of meaning.
